Easter

I just had to post a picture of our dessert on Easter.  It was so easy and fun to make.  The girls just loved it and it was yummy too.  I used strawberry cake and vanilla frosting. You could use any combination you would like.  I saw a picture of this cake with chocolate frosting and it looked pretty too.

Brittany's Senior Prom

Brittany had her Senior Prom this past weekend.  I can't believe how grown up she is. She picked out a very pretty gown that made her look like a princess.

Before prom they had a Grand March at the High School where everyone who was going to prom got to walk the red carpet and have their names announced to come up on stage and show off their attire.  It is so much fun to see what everyone is wearing.  There were no duplicate dresses this year.

Brittany went to prom this year with her friends.

The theme for their prom was "Rustic".  It was a really cute idea.  They had 4 1/2 hours of buffet food and dancing.  She had a blast with her friends.   It brings back memories of my prom and having a blast.

Enjoy the pictures!

Eliabeth's Winter Semi-Formal Dance

Here are a few pictures of Elizabeth for her Winter Semi-Formal Dance.  I still can't believe she is in High School.  She looked so cute.  She bought her dress all by herself too and you would never know that it only cost her $12.50.  What a bargain and a steal! :)

SPRING

Spring is trying to arrive and stay.  We have had a few days of some warm weather of around 70 degrees. They were really nice days and it was so nice to open the windows and doors to the house and change the air.  It has cooled off again but not that bad.  I know that the good weather is just around the corner and I have to be patient.  I'm happy to say the snow is finally gone!!! Yippee!!!!

Spring is a time to feel refreshed and alive and I am trying to get that feeling back from the long winter.  The trees are trying to bud and get their clothes back on.  I can't wait to see leaves on everything and fill in all the bland spots around the yard.

I have been on kick of spring cleaning the house lately and going through everything to get us ready to have a big yard sale next month.  It's time to clean out!  We have opened our barn up now that it is warm enough to go out there and go through it all.

This is a busy time of the year for us with the kids and such. We have Meagan graduating from College and Brittany graduating from High School this year.  I am so proud of both of them for all they have accomplished. I am also so happy to see them both chase their dreams.

I will be trying to keep up this blog again with posts of all the things that have gone on over this long winter.

Enjoy your Spring Everyone!!! :)

Varsity Field Hockey

If you don't know it by now all my girls have been and still are really into Field Hockey. Here are some pictures from the last game of the season.  I'm so proud of my girls.  They put all their heart and soul into playing.  It's a sport that they really take serious and it will be a memory that will stay with them always. This is also the last game that these 3 will play together.  It was a special game.  Brittany was also one of the Captains this year too!  This was also Brittany's last game in High School as she will be graduating next June.  They made a big deal with the 3 Seniors and they had their parents go out on the field to have our pictures taken and we were given flowers from Brittany as a thank you for our support.  It was a tear jerk-er.

Go Lady Hawks!!!!
