Antique finds

There is one thing that I love to do when I have the chance and a little cash on hand is to go Antiquing.  I love vintage stuff and almost have a addiction to it.  I always want to stop at yard sales, estate sales and go off to the Antique stores.  I always feel like I'm going to miss out on something.  I don't like to spend a lot...I am a bargain shopper and always want to spend almost nothing if possible.  :) 

I know the winter is still here and I hate going out in the real cold but I am gearing up for the spring and will be wanting to hit the ground running to look for more good buys.  I would love to get more furniture for the living room and dining room. I will be keeping a look out.

Here are a few things that I've purchased over this past fall. 

I think with everything here I paid no more than $15 for all of it if even that.  I love my utensil holder the most.  I had been looking for the perfect one for years and I finally got it.

Homecoming Dance

Well, I'm a little late getting these posted... Oh, well!  Here is Brittany and Abbie all dressed up for their Homecoming Dance that was this past October.  They look beautiful as always! :) 

Christmas Photo Shoot

Here I am on possibly the coldest night of the year finally making another post!  Brrrr!  It's suppose to be -20 tonight.  Ouch!  I can't take this cold anymore my feet don't want to warm up.  And then I'm sure in a few short months we will be complaining that it is too hot.  When it's this cold I always tell myself that I will not complain in the summer when it's too hot and that I will just absorb every ounce of heat that we can get.

I've been wanting to post for a while but I just haven't had the time plus I've been so tired lately that I can't seem to get out of my own way.  I found some photos of the girls that we took while trying to get our Christmas Picture sent out.  I love looking at all the fun they have while doing this.  I hope you enjoy!  These are probably some of the last of all the girls together with Meagan living away now.  I hope we can get a few more years in.  We will see!  :)

I don’t know if anyone else watches this show on PBS, but all I can say is that I’m addicted to it.  I’ve heard so much about this show that I finally watched season 1 on Netflix and after the first episode I was sucked right into it.  The show has a little bit of everything in it.

For Christmas, my husband bought me both Season 1 & 2 on DVD and together we watched them from the beginning and he was hooked as well and he thought that he wouldn’t like it. HeeHee! J  We finished them up this past Saturday night and we were ready for the opening Season 3 on Sunday evening.  It was awesome!  Now we have to wait a whole week till next Sunday for the next show.  If you get the chance to watch them and if you like the time setting of the early 1900’s this is a show for you. 

It is on Sunday Evening at 9pm on PBS.  You may want to check your local listing for times.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Wow!  I don't know where 2012 went but it was over with in a blink of an eye. 

I think 2012 had a lot of great things and some rough times too but we managed to get through it all.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas too!  I never had a chance to get on here to make some final posts.  Everything got really busy around here and when I did have some down time it was spent on down time.  I did finally manage to get sick right after Christmas with a cold but I'm on the mend now, I hope.  :)

Our New Year's Eve was spent home with the girls (except for Meg) playing family games and making our own personal subs with cold cuts.  We watched Dick Clark's Rocking Eve Count Down on TV and the girls all managed to stay awake.  It was a great night just being together as a family! 

Well, as we bring on 2013 for our new year, I wish the new year with a wonderful new begining of starting fresh on everything for everyone. 

I'm on a cleaning streak and want to do much more organizing in the house.  I love the feel of fresh beginings and it seems like I have to have everything really clean.  I am also hoping to do more post writing on here.

Our little baby is no baby anymore...boo! :(  You are growing up to fast and I have no idea where the last 10 years have gone.  I  miss the really early years of you as a baby that I can hold and snuggle with you all the time.  You were a good baby and you will always be our baby! :)
